Hiking at Sweetwater Creek State Park

I got the day off from Metaleap on Tuesday and I didn't have to work at Fellinis either, so I took full advantage and decided to get out of the city for a little bit. Had some fresh orange juice then my friend and I set out for Sweetwater Creek. Sweetwater Creek State Park is about 30 minutes outside the
city, and its main attraction are the rapids and the ruins of the New Manchester Mill, a textile mill that was burned down during the Civil War. At the end of the day we rewarded ourselves with a couple of mojitos.

Patterns

So, when I moved into my house, there was a lot of stuff left over by past tenants. One thing in particular is a large print hanging in the living room. A friend and I found a name on the back of the print and then went searching on the internet.  It turns out to be from the 60's/early 70's by a Finnish textile company called Marimekko. Their website is a treasure trove of bold patterns and fun, bright colors.

Blurb from website:
Marimekko Corporation is a leading Finnish textile and clothing design company that was established in 1951. The company designs, manufactures and markets high-quality clothing, interior decoration textiles, bags and other accessories under the Marimekko brand, both in Finland and abroad.

(after thought: the picture of it looks so much different, or weird or something, than in real life)
