Woo! After Effects!

I'm not sure why it is blurry. I didn't know what I was doing with the whole rendering thing, but this is the only one where the sound worked. I also don't know what to do about the type face for Jack's voice either; I don't think the one I'm using fits.

By the way... I am throughly creeped out from listening to this over and over again.

Experimental Type

I think the end of this is a little weak, but overall it is interesting... one more thing that can be accomplished using only type.

Old Ads

All sorts of interesting things show up on google when you search images from the 70's.

Fun with Rubber Cement

Over the weekend I started working on some of the sketchbook assignments, and this is the one where you paint something with rubber cement then go over that with ink. It was fun.

Yup, it's a personal logo

I have a lot of rough draft things, and I narrowed it down to these. I am thinking about turning the descender of the p (where it underlines the name) into scissor blades, because I thought the initials kind of looked like the handles.

JCPenny's Catalogue from the 70's

I found these when I was looking for examples of 1970's typography.

Brazilian Bossa Nova Covers

Found a design/color blog that had a post about Brazilian album covers from the 60's and 70's. I thought it was interesting, and if you ever get the chance, check out some Tropicalia music. It has influenced a lot of American music, past and present.
